On May 30, the solemn closing ceremony of the Olympiad took place. The event was opened by mathematician and academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor Shavkat Ayupov, who spoke about the international significance of the Olympiad and its role in attracting the younger generation to science.
Today, as part of The 3rd International Al-Khwarizmi Mathematics Olympiad, young mathematicians from different countries of the world traveled to the "Ichan Qal'a" museum-reserve, the heart of ancient Khiva. In addition to the scientific competitions within the framework of the Olympiad, this visit provided the participants with the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich history and cultural heritage of Khorezm.
The second day of The 3rd International Al-Khwarizmi Mathematics Olympiad is currently being held at the “Yoshlik” sports complex in the Khorezm region. Today's tests are organized in the form of a team competition, where participants are testing their knowledge and logical thinking by solving complex problems of an international scale.
